The Maritime Library

Introducing the Maritime Library

For the last few months, something exciting has been quietly taking shape at 708 Coho Way: the Maritime Library!

We has been growing our educational reach by collecting books from the community — all things maritime. Our collection has grown to over 1,000 titles, spanning naval and nautical history, fiction and nonfiction adventures, and even cookbooks. Every single book has been gifted or donated by friends and community members, and we can't wait to share all the stories that have been so generously given to us.

A Special Thank You to the Community Boating Center

The Community Boating Center has been one of our most generous donors, entrusting us with over 300 titles — including children's books and an extensive range of sailing reads. Dreaming of a paddle through the PNW? The Maritime Library has you covered with kayaking and canoeing guides, thanks to the CBC. Making up nearly a third of our collection, these books have truly been the cherry on top of our library so far.

The stories and livelihoods that make up our working waterfront deserve to be shared, and that's exactly what the Maritime Library is here for. By sharing these books and stories, we hope to grow the same joy and excitement for the waterfront that so many of us already feel. Thank you again to the Community Boating Center for trusting us with your books!

Come Visit Us!

We hope these books can be enjoyed by anyone with a curiosity about the waterfront — there's so much to discover through stories, experiences, and adventures. Have a question, or a book of your own to donate? Stop by or reach out — we'd love to hear from you.

The Maritime Library is open during our regular office hours, 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Everyone is welcome to stop in, browse the shelves, and check out a few titles for yourself!
