We support the efforts of so many who share the stories and culture of our waterfront environment.

Maritime Heritage

Located on the shores of the Salish Sea, the Whatcom Working Waterfront Foundation, in collaboration with the Working Waterfront Coalition and others, seeks to support and develop educational programs that preserve and enhance our marine environment and maritime heritage/culture.

From the snows of Mount Baker to the shores and bounty of the Salish Sea, we are all connected. Understanding our waters, the natural ecosphere, and the people—past and present —helps us all preserve and protect our region’s coastal communities.

CELEBRATIONS

We look forward to highlighting all that happens on our waterfronts as well as the women and men who have lived, worked, and played along its bountiful shores. Together, we can preserve and enhance these waters for future generations to enjoy.
