Safety

Level 1 of the MST focuses on industrial safety, accident prevention, and personal protection   as specifically related to boatyard workplaces. Recognition of marine-specific hazards and risks includes completion of:

• OSHA 10

• Emergency procedures

• Fire prevention and extinguisher certification

• Occupational First Aid Level 1

In Levels 2-4, safety is reviewed and taught as it relates directly to the specific subject area.
